About Me
As a child I was an avid reader, there was nothing like getting lost in a great book with the characters becoming your friends and adventure companions. I loved drawing, writing poems and little stories, getting lost in my own imaginary world.
Although I didn’t know it, Sidney Snail was actually first born in my 7 year old head. I remember an older cousin laughing when I suggested after finding an empty snail shell that snails probably watched television in their little houses.
Many, many years later I wrote Sidney Comes out of his Shell and then promptly forgot about him again for another year.
I kept seeing reminders of Sidney and Chris, almost saying don’t forget about us. A black fluffy caterpillar, a snail on a prominent leaf in the garden, unusually large clusters of butterflies in our garden
Anyway – I soon decided that ‘Life’s short, let’s not waste it’ were words that one of my creations had said but that I wasn’t actually listening to. So here we are late 2020 after such a strange year and at last Sidney and friends are released to the world.
I have many more of my little characters sketched in notebooks, on scraps of paper, on the computer and wandering around in my head – I hope to introduce
them all to you soon.
Sally
